Great Grounds Education Centre Open Day 2019
The open day which coincided with National Gardening Week 2019 was attended by 110 pupils from five local primary schools which took part in three interactive workshops based around gardening, joinery and tree surgery.
They also took part in a one-mile woodland walk where they also explored the surrounding tranquil woodland, ran a bug hunt and investigated some special attractions along the way.

We visited Great Grounds as part of their launch day. We were welcomed and the children were engaged from the very beginning. James was very helpful and very knowledgeable about each area/activity. We look forward to returning at some point in the near future.
Mrs Kate Clowes, Bishop Rawle Primary School
The activities and opportunities were fantastic to broaden the experience of children and learn outside the classroom. The children loved seeing the Alpacas and investigating the farm vehicles as well as learning lots about habitats, wildlife, plants, forestry work planting and creating things. It was a very enjoyable day with great things to take away back to school

Our children had a fantastic day, it allowed them to experience hands on cross curricular learning and be at one with nature. It is important that children are given such opportunities to explore and find themselves while learning at the same time. The staff were very friendly and knowledgeable and couldn’t do enough for us. We will most certainly look to return in in the future
